About
Fernanda Gándara (she/her) is a Chilean engineer, social science methodologist and photographer living in Philadelphia, USA. Her interest in photography began once she came to the United States to pursue a Ph.D. in psychometrics and educational statistics. Initially, photography gave her space and a break from the hyperrationality and dryness of her field of study. With time, photography evolved into a more conscious space and Fernanda became concerned with the photographic language and interested in the possibilities that photography could bring to reflect upon identity and social issues.
